2020 Int was approached by a potential investor toward the end of the first quarter in 2021. We were under the gun to produce a valuation which was fair to both parties. I had my first conversation with Mike at the end of March and, within a short time frame, Mike provided us with an analysis which highlighted that this offer wasn’t for us. I became the President and CEO of the Turknett Leadership Group (TLG) in October of 2018. Bob and Lyn Turknett had ably led the company for thirty years at that point in time. There were a number of factors that prompted TLG Founders and me to identify a trusted source to conduct a company valuation. First and foremost, we were initiating an equity sharing program, so having a baseline regarding the value of the company was paramount. Secondly, we felt it was essential to understand the current state of the company in respect to the financials so we could mark our progress from there. Bob, Lyn and I knew Brady Ware prior to the engagement. They have a reputation as smart and upstanding so we selected them to conduct the valuation. We knew we could trust them and they didn’t disappoint. We were certain that Michael (Blake) knew his stuff and was a consummate professional.
