Michael E. Stover, CPA/ABV – Director
Mike was raised in a family-owned business, worked as a controller for a local manufacturing company, and as an auditor for a national accounting firm before joining the firm in 1989 and becoming a Director in 1998. He assists clients in developing strategies for organizing, operating, and selling their businesses. His goal is to help his clients earn more from their business... and to keep more of what they earn.

With extensive experience with corporate, partnership and individual taxation, he serves many closely held business clients. He has developed a special expertise in business valuations and earned his ABV (Accredited Business Valuation) accreditation from the AICPA in 1999. He leads the firm's Business Valuation Services team and Dealership Services team.
Mike is a member of The American Institute of CPAs and The Ohio Society of CPAs. He is also a member of the Dayton Association of Tax Professionals, the Oakwood Rotary Club and the Dayton Area Auto Dealers Association.

2008 Tax Law Changes
- SECTION 179 maximum deduction increases to $250,000. Phase-out threshold increases to $800,000.
- STANDARD MILEAGE RATE for business driving increases to 50.5¢ a mile. Rate for medical and moving mileage decreases to 19¢ a mile. Rate for charitable driving remains at 14¢ a mile.
- ESTATE TAX top rate remains at 45%, and the exemption amount remains at $2 million. The ANNUAL GIFT TAX EXCLUSION remains at $12,000.
