2008 Tax Law Changes

SECTION 179 maximum deduction increases to $250,000. Phase-out threshold increases to $800,000.
STANDARD MILEAGE RATE for business driving increases to 50.5¢ a mile. Rate for medical and moving mileage decreases to 19¢ a mile. Rate for charitable driving remains at 14¢ a mile.
ESTATE TAX top rate remains at 45%, and the exemption amount remains at $2 million. The ANNUAL GIFT TAX EXCLUSION remains at $12,000.

M. F. "Bud" Brady, CPA/PFS, CFP – Director

Bud has been with the firm since 1966 and became a director in 1973. He actively serves clients out of both the Richmond and Dayton offices. He is a Certified Financial Planner, receiving the CFP designation in 1987 and was board certified in 1988 by the AICPA as a Personal Financial Specialist.

Bud offers clients advice in the areas of succession, retirement and estate planning. Bud plays a key role on the Dealership Services team within the firm and also works extensively with our family owned business clients, helping them with estate, financial, and strategic planning advice. He also serves as an audit partner on the firm's A–133 and HUD audits.

Bud is a member of The American Institute of CPAs, The Ohio Society of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. He has served as president of Richmond Civic Theatre, vice president of the Wayne County foundation, and has been involved with the Richmond Art Museum and the Star–Gennett foundation. He also assists the United Way with its annual campaign.
